PSG crawl over the line

  Paris Saint Germain clinged on to their one goal difference on aggregate to advance through to the last four of the champions League against Aston Villa. Early goals from Achraf Hakimi and Nuno Mendez had PSG in pole position to advance to the semis as they were playing with verve and stringing good passes all round the pitch, But the tide changed quickly as Tielemans pulled one back for Villa just before halftime, When halftime resumed two quick goals from Villa including an absolute belter from skipper John McGinn made the tie nervy for PSG but sadly wasn't enough for the Villains to progress as they went out on aggregate .

TITLE RACE HEATS UP EARLY IN THE SEASON

Three Premier League title contenders played yesterday with Liverpool drawing away to Brighton Hove and Albion while Arsenal recorded a remarkable win over defending champions Manchester city. Liverpool defensive lapse were again on show as Van dijk pass was seized up by Brighton's Adingra but Liverpool responded with two quick goals by Salah near halftime which put them ahead but their defensive woes continued as they conceed a late goal by Brighton's Captain Lewis Dunk. Arsenal continued their impressive campaign by beating Manchester city one nil goal courtesy of Martinelli who came off the bench replacing the ineffective Trossard who was neutralised by Walker
